Ai wa Kurayami no Naka de is found on ZARD's single Good-bye My Loneliness as track #2 and album Good-bye My Loneliness as track #2. The song uses the same melody as Empty Days by BLIZARD, a Japanese heavy metal band from the 80's.
In 2008, the song was rearranged and released in the single Tsubasa wo Hirogete / Ai wa Kurayami no Naka de as track #2. It was used as the 22nd opening theme for the anime Meitantei Conan.
