Information

Ayumu was the vocalist for indies band Cherry Feel until Megu spotted her at one of their live houses and got her for her own band which would later be named Zwei. The sunglasses she wears rarely come off when in public for fan events. Only twice has this happened; once was during their first concert in August 2004, and the second was during their appearance in the Lady Steady Go concert held in July 2007.

With the move to Universal and the single 1+1=2, Ayumu's sunglasses came off for the promotional images but she continues to wear them at fan events and in blog entries.

Ayumu's Birthdate

The date given for Ayumu's birthdate on the official Zwei site is incorrect. On all of the Cherry Feel sites, she is reportedly born in 1973, whereas on all of the Zwei sites it is 1978. It is theorized that since thirty (30) is seen as an old age in Japan (time to start settling down with kids and family), it's unattractive to be in a mainstream band and not be young. So, Ayumu is actually five years older than the Zwei sites say she is.
