Information

In August 2006, Yoshiki (formerly in X Japan and Globe) announced at Otakon that he would start a band with Gackt (formerly in Malice Mizer). In December of the same year, it was reported that Sugizo (formerly in Luna Sea) might be joining the group as the third member. Finally, on May 25, 2007, at the J-Rock Revolution festival in Los Angeles, S.K.I.N was eventually announced, including the previously discussed artists, as well as Miyavi (formerly in Du頬e quartz). S.K.I.N will perform at the Anime Expo convention in Long Beach, California on June 29, 2007. On May 27 it was announced that a U.S. tour would start after the Anime Expo performance, followed by some performances in Japan in November. Yoshiki confirmed that the group will release an album and that rough recordings of several songs were made in March 2007. At Anime Expo, it was announced that Ju-Ken, the bassist of GacktJob, will be the bassist for S.K.I.N.
