Information

Shida Mirai made her debut in 2000 with minor parts in Japanese dramas, but not until 2005 was she noticed when she starred in the drama "Jyoou no Kyoushitsu" (The Queen's Classroom), a series about a sixth grade class with a strict woman for a teacher. Shida starred as Kazumi, a girl in the class who simply wanted to be friends with everyone and made several efforts to unite the class together against their harsh teacher.

From October to December of 2006, Shida starred in a much more mature role for the drama "14sai no Haha" (14-year-old Mother) as Miki, a teenager who becomes pregnant at the age of 14. The drama earned her much appraise and she became one of the leading Japanese teenage actresses almost overnight.

In mid-2006 she starred in the Tantei Gakuen Q special as Megu, and later reprised her role in the eleven episode series, "Tantei Gakuen Q," in the summer of 2007. Shida is co-starred the drama "Seigi no Mikata" with Yamada Yu playing the role of a younger sister who is constantly at the whim of the older sister. She obtained her first starring drama role in 2009's "Shokojo Seira," a drama adapatation of the anime, which is based on "A Little Princess."
