lego big morl

lego big morl is a Japanese rock band hailing from Osaka. They are known for their 2008 single "Ray", an insert song in the drama and movie Akai Ito. The band is currently signed to OORONG RECORDS and managed by OORONG-SHA.

lego big morl formed in March 2006. After releasing three demos, they released their debut mini-album, Tuesday and Thursday, on June 6, 2008. The second track, "dim", was featured on iTunes as the weekly free download from May 14th to the 20th.

The band released their debut single on December 10, 2008, a three-month limited TOWER RECORDS/TSUTAYA exclusive called "Ray". It was used as an insert song in the drama and movie Akai Ito. Accompanying the single a month and a half later was lego big morl's debut album, Quartette Parade, in January 2009. The following March, they embarked on their first nationwide tour, lego big morl tour 2009 "Quartette Parade". After the tour concluded in May, lego big morl released their second single on July 22nd, "Afureru".

On June 30, 2010, Shibasaki Kou will release a cover of "Ray" on her concept album Love & Ballad Selection. The next day comes lego big morl's third single, "Drill Drill". It will be distributed as a free MP3 download on their official website. The band will also hold a release event at SHIBUYA CLUB QUATTRO called 3→4→2, and they will perform all of the songs from their currently untitled sophomore album, scheduled be released later this year.
