Arigatou is SMAP's 40th single. Arigatou was used as the theme song for the dorama Boku no Aruku Michi, starring Kusanagi Tsuyoshi. The jacket art was designed by Katori Shingo. It's a pun, as the phrase "Ari ga tou (蟻が十; There are 10 Ants)" has the same pronounciation as the title. This single reached #1 on the Oricon charts and sold 280,084 copies in 2006, becoming the #27 single of the year. It charted for 30 weeks and sold a total of 347,226 copies.
