"fighting-Ø-girls" is the 16th major single (18th overall) released by miwa. The single was released in two versions: a limited CD+DVD edition and a regular CD Only edition. The title track was used as the theme song for the TBS drama "Masshiro" while the song "Sora no Kanata" was used as the TV theme for NHK's "Mezase! 2020nen no Olympian."
- Note: The middle character has been seen seen stylized as "Ø," "Φ" and "φ" on various sites such as her official site, Oricon, and Sony Music.
