GIRL NEXT DOOR is the first studio album released by GIRL NEXT DOOR. "Winter Game" was used as the ending theme song for the TV program Uchikuru!?, "Power of love" was chosen as the official song for "Tokyo Tower Kaigyo 50-shuunen Kinen", "WINTER MIRAGE" was used as the theme song for the series HEROES Season 2, "Fine after rain" was used as the theme song for the TV program NNN News Real Time, "Breath" was used as the ending theme song for the TV program Uwasa no! Tokyo Magazine, "Day's..." was used as the theme song for the TV program NNN News Straight Weather, "Winter Garden" was used as the ending theme song for the TV program Rank Oukoku, "Climber's high" was used as the ending theme song for the TV program Guruguru Ninety-Nine and "NEXT DOOR" was used as the ending theme song for the radio program Akasaka Yasuhiko no Dear Friends. The album was released in several editions which contained different versions of the music video of the group's debut single, "Guuzen no Kakuritsu". In its first two weeks of release, however, the album reached only the third position on the Oricon weekly chart and sold 171,165 copies. Since then, it has charted for ten weeks and sold 212,411 copies overall.
