"Gangnam Style" is the first international single released by PSY. The song was released first in Korea in advance of his album PSY 6 Gap Part.1, and later internationally following the big success of the music video. The music video for the song features 4minute' member HyunA. PSY become the first Korean artist to op the US Music Video iTunes chart after "Gangnam Style"' music video went viral on Internet. The music video was linked/reposted by various international artists like Robbie Williams and Katy Perry, television channels and even performed by Nelly Furtado in one of her concerts. As of November 2012, it has reached the 710 million views on YouTube, and over 5 million "likes", being recognized by the Guinness World Records as the most "liked" video in YouTube history. In November 2012, PSY won the Best Video award at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
One month after the release of "Gangnam Style", a new version of the song, performed mainly by Hyun A and featuring PSY, was released in YouTube. Hyun A's version, titled "Oppan Ttak Nae Style" (오빤 딱 내 스타일; Oppa Is Just My Style), was released digitally on internationally iTunes stores with the title "Gangnam Style (Hyuna Version)". This version was actually released on iTunes stores earlier than the original version of the song.
