Hirako Risa (平子理沙) is a Japanese fashion model, talento, and pop singer. She is managed by Harmony Promotion and sign to the avex trax record label.

Information

Hirako Risa was born in Tokyo, Japan. She was raised by her mother and father along with her brother, who is five years older. Hirako's mother is a nail artist, and introduced manicures and nail care to her daughter at a young age. The family currently lives in Los Angeles, California.

When Hirako was in elementary school, she became interested in the Charlie's Angels TV series and deciced that she wanted to learn English. Because of this, in the fourth grade Hirako changed schools, leaving the Nashiro educational school and transfered to an international school. In 1990 she entered and won Fuji Television Network's first Japan's most beautiful woman contest.

At the age of 15 Hirako entered a studied abroad program and moved to Santa Monica, California. In Santa Monica she enrolled in a private high school and entered their dual enrollment program, and took classes at the local community college. She attend school along side actors such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Stephen Dorff, and Drew Barrymore. In college she majored in art, and also took classes in interior design. In 1997, she married actor Yoshida Eisaku in Los Angeles.

At the age of 19 Hirako returned home to Japan. She was working in Harajuku when she was scouted to be a model. Hirako made her modeling debut in JJ magazine, and soon after she appeared as a reporter on Fuji Television Network's F1 Grand Prix and F1 Pole Position. In March 2008 she participated in the 10WOMEN promotion for breast cancer research. In June 2008, Hirako became a model for the fashion brand, three unicorns.

In 2010, Hirako released her third photo book, CANNONBALL. The photobook was released with a CD, which was produced by avex trax and was made up of five English language songs.
