Horikawa Yuri (堀川由理) is a Japanese pop singer and former member of the groups Minami Aoyama Shoujo Kagekidan, Skirt, helly heaven, and Myuna.

Information

Horikawa Yuri got her start in show business when she joined the acting troupe Minami Aoyama Shoujo Kagekidan in 1991 as a second generation member. She formed the group Skirt with fellow member Sogawa Kimiko in 1995, releasing four singles and one album. However, she graduated from Minami Aoyama Shoujo Kagekidan and Skirt in 1998 when she decided to go to college.

In 2001, while in college, Horikawa formed a Cocco copy band, helly heaven, and served as the vocalist for a short while. A year later, she joined the rock band Myuna as the vocalist. The band lasted until 2004 when the band decided to break up. Horikawa graduated from college in 2003.

Horikawa Yuri released her first album, entitled Yume Ippai, in 2006 on an indies label. She continues to perform at various iivehouses.
