Jade is a Japanese pop/R&B singer and former member of the group Minami Aoyama Shoujo Kagekidan and Jade & Steve I.. Jade got her start in the early 1990s when she joined the idol group Minami Aoyama Shoujo Kagekidan. Then in 1997, she released her first single, entitled "True True", under the name meo.

Then in the 2000s, Jade formed the group Jade & Steve I. with Steve I., releasing various albums and singles. In 2007, Jade made her comeback with the single "true true", a self-cover version of the one she released under the name meo ten years earlier. Two years later, she corroborated with DJ KOO's band WILL to release the digital single "Listen to Your Heart feat. Jade".
