Ken is the guitarist of L'Arc~en~Ciel and vocalist/guitarist of his own band, SONS OF ALL PUSSYS, which also includes former L'Arc~en~Ciel member Sakura. He also has a solo career under the name Ken.

In 1992, L'Arc~en~Ciel's tetsu, who he had been friends with in High School, asked him to join the band on short notice after their former guitarist Hiro left. He quit college where he had been studying archictecture to move back to Osaka and join.
During L'Arc's break periods, he participates in a no-frills rock band named SONS OF ALL PUSSYS (S.O.A.P.) under Danger Crue Records. Also, along with the bands he is participating in, it was announced that he would create a solo single and if that went over well, a future album full of his own compositions and works. This is to provide a creative outlet for him as an artist while maintaining his band commitments.
