Information

Kuroki Mayumi got her start in the music business when she sang Yamaguchi Momoe's "Aoi Ikajitsu" on the Nippon television television contest Star Tanjou! in 1974, where won the award for best performance. A year later, she debuted as a singer on King Records with the single "Koukishin". She also won the bronze prize at a Shinjuku music festival in the same year.

From 1977 to 1979, Kuroki formed the girl group Gyaru with Ishie Michiyo and Meguro Hitomi. Later on, she took a hiatus from show business after marrying baseball player Hayashi Yatsuhiro and gave birth to the couple's first daughter, Kuroki Marina, four years later. But in 1996, the couple divorced and allowed Kuroki Mayumi to make a comeback to show business.

A decade later, she appeared as a singer on her daughter's debut single "Koi♥Kuru / Hare☆Sora".
