Morohoshi Kazumi was a member of Johnny's Entertainment group Hikaru GENJI from 1987 to 1995, after which he started a solo career.

History

During the summer break of 1983, Kazumi and some friends ran away from home and headed for Tokyo. That is where he was noticed by the president of the company, Johnny Kitagawa. In 1986, he passed an audition after which he was properly integrated into Johnny's Entertainment.

In 1987, he debuted with Hikaru GENJI as a member of the sub-group GENJI. When the group disbanded in 1995, he left the company to pursue a solo career.
