SHONEN KAMIKAZE was first formed in January 2004 when vocalist Kazznori and guitarist Minami Tsukasa posted an add on the internet looking for more band members [1]. They found all of the rest of the band this way including a Osaka College of Music graduate, SaCo, whom was added to the group as the female voclaist [2]. That same year the band signed with an indie record label and released their debut mini-album, NEXSTAR★.

The band started of 2005 with another mini-album entitled, MISSILEE!!. In July the band released their debut indie single, "BUZZSURF / MICRO SUNNY"; the single marked the band's first charting release, peaking at #198 on the weekly Oricon chart. Not long after that band was offered a deal with a major record label and they signed to Victor Entertainment Inc. SHONEN KAMIKAZE made their major label debut on 2007.10.18, with the release of their second single "Kokoro Antena". On that same day the band released a sampler mini-album, 1st Major BLOW!!!.
