"Seonginshik" is a song released by Park Ji Yoon and included on her fourth album Seonginshik as track #3. It was used as a lead track for the album. The song became a huge hit for her and catapulted her to stardom.
Music Video
The music video stars Park in a white dress sewing with a beetle coming close to the needle and a flickering light turning on with a bear inside, signifying her youth a innocence. As she sews, a large teddy bear in a room across from her can be seen watching her. When she turns her head to view the bear her finger gets stuck in the machine and her blood spatters across the white fabric. The rest of the video shows two Park's in two different black dresses, signifying her maturing into a woman, dancing with other women in the same costumes. There are also quick shots of Park applying the blood as lip-stick and tearing apart the large teddy bear, signifying her wanting to get rid of her innocence. Also the music video and dance was so provocative and dark for its time that the video was banned from many Korean networks.
