Stereo Taiyou-zoku is the fourth album released by Southern All Stars. The title makes reference to Ishihara Shintaro's popularized term, taiyou-zoku. The 2008 reissue was released as a limited edition housed in a digipack. The original release sold around 465,000 copies in 1981, becoming the #13 album of that year. The 1998 reissue reached #72 on Oricon charts, and charted for one weeks. The 2008 reissue reached #94 on Oricon charts, and charted for one week.
