"Vain" is the eighth single released by Phantasmagoria. It was released in a CD+DVD only format. The DVD is of the bands November 25th, 2006 concert performance at Shibuya O-EAST titled "Gen'ei Bijinkan" with Vidoll. This is a limited release having only 10,000 copies. This is also the first entry in a three consecutive release plan, the second being the live DVD "Black-Veil Before Christmas ~2006.12.17 LAFORET MUSEUM ROPPONGI~" and the last being the PV DVD "Gen'eizou V ~under the veil~". The single reached #125 on the major Oricon chart, where it charted for a week.
