ClariS
ClariS is a Japanese pop idol unit. The group was formed by Clara and Alice, two junior high school students from Hokkaido, in 2009. They use psuedonyms to preserve their anonymity and use illustrations of themselves instead of actual photos. They began by singing covers and uploading them to the Niconico video sharing website between 2009 and 2010. They later signed with SME Records and released their debut single in October 2010. In May 2014, Alice announced her graduation from ClariS. A new member, Karen, was found through auditions as her replacement and joined in late 2014. Both Clara and Karen graduated from high school in March 2015.
Their first mini-album, SPRING TRACKS -Haru no Uta-, is released this week on April 15th.
