MOMOLAND

MOMOLAND (모모랜드) is a Korean pop girl group under Dublekick Entertainment. The group was formed through the survival program Survival, Find the Momoland, which began in June 2016 on Mnet. The group's debut showcase was held on November 9, 2016 and they released their debut mini-album Welcome to MOMOLAND the following day. On March 28, 2017, it was announced that two additional members, Daisy and former Produce 101 contestant Taeha, would be joining the group, increasing the group to nine members. The girls released two digital singles and a second mini-album throughout the remainder of the year.

On January 3, 2018, MOMOLAND made a comeback with their third mini-album, GREAT! with the lead track "Bboom Bboom" composed by Shinsadong Tiger. The release marked the first breakthrough for the group. They won their first music show award on M! Countdown on January 11th. The song climbed up on iTunes charts, peaking at #1 on England's K-pop chart, #2 on France's K-pop chart, #6 on USA's K-pop chart, and #7 in Japan's K-pop chart. The song's music video also ranked #1 on Genie's daily MV chart collected over 150 million views on YouTube.

On February 28th, MOMOLAND released a compilation album in Japan titled MOMOLAND The BEST ~Korean Ver.~. Afterwards, the group signed with King Records to make their debut in Japan.

Their debut Japanese single "Bboom Bboom" is released this week on June 13th.
