ITZY promoting GUESS WHO (2021)

ITZY

ITZY (있지) is a Korean pop girl group formed by JYP Entertainment. Their name, meaning "to have" in Korean, stands for the group having "everything you want". The group debuted on February 11, 2019, with the release of their single, "It'z Different". The group's commercial success has led to them earning several new artist of the year awards, including Rookie of the Year at the 34th Golden Disc Awards and Best New Female artist at the 2019 Melon Music Awards and the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

The lead track for ITZY's debut single, "Dalla Dalla", scored one of the biggest Billboard debuts for a new K-pop act in years. The song entered at #3 and peaked at #2 on the World Digital Song Sales chart. The song sold 2,000 downloads in the U.S. for the week ending February 14th, according to Nielsen Music, making it the best-selling K-pop song in America that week. "Want It?," released alongside the lead track, debuted at #8 selling 1,000 downloads. "Dalla Dalla" also debuted as the second most popular song on YouTube.

Billboard confirmed that the music video surpassed 17.1 million views within 24 hours of its release and broke the record for the most viewed K-pop debut music video within 24 hours. On February 21st, eight days after their debut, ITZY received their first music show win on M Countdown and became the fastest girl group to achieve their first music show win. The song went on to garner 9 music show wins. "Dalla Dalla" also broke the record at the time for the fastest K-pop debut music video to reach 100 million views on YouTube, and went on to surpass 100 million streams on Gaon Music Chart, becoming the group's first platinum certification.

ITZY's second and third mini-albums debuted at #1 on the Gaon Album Chart, with their second debuting at #5 on Billboard's World Albums chart, their highest position on the chart.

Their fourth Korean mini-album, GUESS WHO, is released this week on April 30th.
