JO1
JO1 is a Japanese pop 11-member boy group that was formed via the TBS TV show Produce 101 Japan. The group is composed of eleven members: Mamehara Issei, Kawashiri Ren, Kawanishi Takumi, Ohira Shosei, Tsurubo Shion, Shiroiwa Ruki, Sato Keigo, Kimata Syoya, Kono Junki, Kinjo Sukai, and Yonashiro Sho. JO1 is the first Produce 101 winning group that is intended to be permanent. It is managed by Lapone Entertainment, a joint venture between Yoshimoto Kogyo and CJ ENM.
Since debuting with the single PROTOSTAR on March 4, 2020, JO1 has achieved eight consecutive Oricon #1 singles as well as seven #1 songs and two consecutive #1 albums on the Billboard Japan Hot charts. Among the group's accolades are one Japan Gold Disc Award, three MAMA Awards, and three MTV Video Music Awards Japan.
Their ninth single, "WHERE DO WE GO", is released this week on October 2nd.
