nano (band)

nano was formed at the beginning of 2006 by PENICILLIN vocalist Hakuei and guitarist Chisato.

Both Haukei and Chisato have had other solo activities in the past, but this is the first time that they have paired together during their 14 years as members of PENICILLIN.

nano stated that the band would be short-lived (only several months) so they could return and continue with activities for PENICILLIN. So nano was active only for a limited time.

Within those several months, they released seven singles which were released one day of each other and one album which was released 11 days after the last single. Each single contains two tracks: a cover of a PENICILLIN song and an original nano song. There were also two versions of each single: one with a CD and another with CD+DVD. The DVDs contain short movies. When you combine all the DVDs they form a whole movie which is believed to be based on a famous Japanese story.
