"Simple And Clean" is as song recorded by Utada Hikaru, first released in 2003 on her "COLORS" single. It was used as the Kingdom Hearts theme song for the US/Global release, and for all region releases of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. It is also the English version of "Hikari", although they differ on the lyrics and melody for the chorus. "Simple and Clean" takes its chorus melody from "Uso Mitai na I Love You", another Utada song released in the same era as "Hikari".
