Sato Shinichiro (佐藤シンイチロウ), is a Japanese rock drummer. He is well known as the drummer of the band the pillows.

Sato Shinichiro grew up in in Ibaraki, Japan. In 1986 Sato formed The Pees with two other college students based in Tokyo, Haruyuki Oki and Yoshikazu Abiko. In 1987 he began playing drums in another band called the Coinlocker Babies in Hokkaido with Yamanaka Sawao, Manabe Yoshiaki, and Ueda Kenji After re-recording some of the music from their earlier demo and renaming the band to the pillows they signed with Pony Canyon and came out with their first major release MOON GOLD in 1991. Since then they have released many successful albums and singles. The Pees left the music scene in 1997 but returned in July 2002 after a five-year absence
