Mecha (メカ) short for mechanism, is a genre of manga and anime in Japan. The genre covers all series that revolve around the use of robotic armor and science fiction. Mecha series cover a wide variety of genres from comedy to drama, though are always unrealistic to nature and feature large-scale battles and action sequences.
