Anison stands for anime song. A anison singer/band is a singer/band who has most of songs used for animes or 2D games (RPG, visual novel or eroge game...). Their are some anison singers/bands who started their career as doujin artists before going major. Since 2005, there is a special live event called Animelo Summer Live for them to gather and perform. Lantis and 5pb. Records are special labels who host most of anison singers/bands nowdays. Notable anison singers/bands are JAM Project, ALI PROJECT, angela, Ishikawa Chiaki...
