GIRL NEXT DOOR was formed in March 2008 to commemorate avex trax's 20th anniversary. After releasing three singles in a row, the group released their self-titled debut album which debuted at #3 on the Oricon charts. GIRL NEXT DOOR released their second album, NEXT FUTURE, on January 20th, 2010.
On September 5, 2011, the group changed their name from GIRL NEXT DOOR to girl next door.
