"Memai / edge" is Onitsuka Chihiro's fourth single, and was the lead-in single before the release of Onitsuka's debut album [[Insomnia]]. Memai was both the TV variety show [[Daigaku King|Daigaku King]]'s ending theme song and the [[La Parler|La Parler]] CM song. Edge was the movie [[Oboreru Sakana|Oboreru Sakana]]'s theme song. The single came with a CD extra, which was an exclusive screensaver. This single peaked at #6 on Oricon charts and stayed in the charts for 11 weeks. Due to the singles sales of 253,000, it became the #75 single of 2001. Also due to these high sales, this single is Chihiro's second most sold single (after [[Gekkou]]).
