Akesaka Satomi was born on January 2, 1988 in Toshima-ku, Tokyo. When she was little, she spent half of a year in Indonesia with her family. Akesaka got her start in show business in 2001 when she won the "Idol Grand Prix" in an idol contest sponsored by the manga magazine Nakayoshi. She became an event character for the anime Tokyo Mew Mew by joining the group Mew Five. During the same time, Akesaka became a member of Minami Aoyama Shoujo Kagekidan's sister group Nansho Kids.

Akesaka Satomi got her start as an seiyuu in 2004 when she starred in the anime Koi Kaze as the character Anzai Futaba Since then, she has appeared in various anime, OVAs, and video games. She is well-known for playing the character Nano-Nano Pudding in Galaxy Angel Rune, the character Chrome Dokuro in Katekyo Hitman REBORN!, the character Verda in Kiss Dam ~ENGAGE planet~, the character krkr in gdgd Fairies, and other characters. In 2007, she became the second voice actress to voice the character Dejiko / Di Gi Charat for the popular Di Gi Charat franchise.

She released her first solo single in 2011, entitled "Akeban", under the label Sony Music Entertainment. The two songs featured on the single were used as opening themes for Akesaka Satomi's own TV show Akesaka Satomi no "Aketere" on the channel Tokyo MX.

From her debut to September 2011, Akesaka was with the agency Space Craft However, she changed agencies to amuleto in October 2011.
