Originally popular on YOUTUBE, YUI began doing PV appearances for such artists as Aikawa Nanase and support for artists like LIV MOON. In November 2010 she appeared in an instructional DVD on guitar chord theory. activities right after graduating from high school. In 2011 she auditioned for guitarist YUI and drummer KANOKO's new girl band, and although she had no previous band experience she was offered the position. In 2011, she and drummer KANOKO formed the band Cyntia. YUI is also part of several of her own solo projects.
