When [[ACID]] lost their vocalist, [[Junpei]], and one of their guitarist, [[Masamitsu]], the other 3 remaining members decided to stay together and look for a new vocalist. Not only they came up with a new name, their music style was drastically changed too. While the root of their music is still rock, but unlike before, they no longer play heavy music, but instead a music style which is to move the heart of their listeners, with the help of the voice from their new vocalist, Mizuki.

Now that the vocalist is changed, the music style is also changed, and they dropped the name ACID, adopting Needless Lyrics as their new name.
 
 
Mizuki and Daisuke used to play together in a band called e.MU, along with [[Yukku]] on bass and [[Takahiro]] on drums. But when the band disbanded in 2003, Daisuke went on to join ACID, while Mizuki, Yukku, and Takahiro had no choice but retiring from music and look for a normal job. After a few discussions between Daisuke, Yuta, and Seichiiro, they decided that Mizuki is the right person to lead the change of their music style.

Needless Lyrics is a Japanese rock band, formed by 3 former ACID members with a new vocalist.

At the end of 2009, ACID lost 2 members; vocalist Junpei and guitarist Masamitsu. The remaining 3 members decided to stay together as a new band with a new vocalist. After few discussions, they decided to pick Daisuke's former bandmate, Mizuki. Now that the vocalist is changed, the music style is also changed, and they dropped the name ACID, adopting Needless Lyrics as their new name.
