It was released in different CD only editions, with the limited edition coming with two original songs. This was released simultaneously released with her second cover album Occident. The album's title, imagery, and tracklist comes from the phrase "The Land of the Rising Sun" (日出ずる国), which means Japan. The song "Nagori Yuki" was used as a theme song for Yomeishu Seizo's "Herb no Megumi" commercials, while "Shinda Onna no Ko" and "Gentouki" were used as the theme songs to the movie Caterpillar and to the drama Maboroshi no Koushien respectively.
