Sun Dance is the first part of the fifth studio album released by Aimer. It was released simultaneously with the second part of the album, titled Penny Rain, and as part of the Sun Dance & Penny Rain compilation album.
The album includes three songs from her latest singles (both physical and digital releases): "ONE", "Hanabiratachi no March" and "Omoide wa Kirei de", along with seven new compositions. The track "Koi Wazurai" was released on March 18th, 2019 as a digital pre-release and was used as theme song for the reality series Shirayuki to Ookami-kun ni wa Damasarenai, while "3min" (read as three minutes) is the theme song of the "3 minutes around the world" tour where Aimer will travel to Tokyo, Taipei, Shanghai, Singapore, London, Liverpool, New York, Los Angeles, cities around the world.
