The Best of melody. ~Timeline~ is melody.'s first best album and her final release as a recording artist. It was released in two versions: a limited CD+DVD version and a CD only version. The first press of both editions came with a B3-sized poster. The album reached #4 on the Oricon charts and charted for 7 weeks. In all, it sold 42,155 copies.
