immi (イミー) is a electropop singer and lyricist. She is signed to the major record label Sony Music Japan.

Biography

During 2001 and 2002 she was signed under Universal Music Japan where released four singles and an album. However, after the album release, she was dropped by the label. Mayu took an hiatus and in 2007 made her comeback with a new style and a name, immi. Her first single, Cosmic Pink, came up in November 2007 in iTunes Japan and were downloaded 50.000 times in one week. The b-side "Local Train" was used for a CM for Canon. Her second single, Klaxon, was released in March 2008. The b-side, "Lovesong", is a cover of the Cure. In August 2008, she released her first album Switch, in iTunes. immi is her own songwriter and composer, but she is produced by N.A.i.D. and JETBIKINI. In 2009, immi had just been picked up by DefSTAR Records (Sony Music Japan), and released her first major mini-album WONDER EP.
