Soon after formation, the band announced their plans to perform overseas for the first time in Paris, France. the studs will also be touring in Japan in June and July.

the studs is a Japanese rock band formed in 2007. The band name means 'tack' and 'sharp'.

The studs was found a few months after the disbandment of visual-kei band Kagerou. Former vocalist Daisuke unveiled his plans for a new band on April 9th of 2007. The studs also features aie on guitar, yukino on bass, and Hibiki on drums. They all had worked together previously in the Nagoya-kei band, kein.

At the end of year 2009, group decided to go on hiatus. Members concentrated on theirs solo careers. On July 15th, 2010 vocalist Daisuke died.
