"50% & 50%" is hide's second single. The single reached #6 on the weekly Oricon charts and charted for eight weeks. It was released on the same day as his first single "EYES LOVE YOU", and shared the same cover (albeit with different color schemes). The two singles would form a 3-D image when placed side-by-side.

In 2007, "50% & 50%" was re-released in 12cm CD format alongside "EYES LOVE YOU", "DICE", and "TELL ME" and featured a new cover. The four singles were re-released on December 12 -- one day before hide's 43rd birthday.
