- Information
amiyumi is the debut studio album and first mini-album released by PUFFY. The album's title comes from the two girl's given names. This mini-album came two months after the release of the duo's debut single, "Asia no Junshin". The album was recorded in Winter of 1995 with producer Okuda Tamio in a training studio in Kawaguchi-ko[1]. The song "Tokusuru Karada" was used as the Pizza Hut CM song, and "Sakura Saku" was used as the Manpower Japan CM song. The album's final track, "PUFFY no Hey! Mountain", is a parody of Okuda's song "Hey! Mountain". The mini-album reached #3 on the weekly Oricon chart, and stayed on the chart for a total of 36 weeks selling 893,000 copies. This is PUFFY's second best-selling album[2].
