Budou is the 15th studio album released by Southern All Stars, ten years after the release of their last album Killer Street. The album was released in four editions: a limited CD+Book+T-shirt+DVD "A" edition, a limited CD+Book+DVD "B" edition, a regular CD only edition, and an analog LP edition. The song "Aloe" was used as the 2015 "WOWOW" CM song, "Happy End" was used as a CM song for the Japanese travel agency JTB, "Peace & Hi-lite" was used to promote the Volkswagon "New Golf", "Iya na Koto Dareke no Yo no Naka de" was used as the theme song for the dorama Ryuusei Wagon, "Eikou no Otoko" was used as the CM song for the banking company Sumitomo Mitsui, "Heiwa no Kane ga Naru" was used as an image song to celebrate NHK's 90th anniversary, and "Hotaru" was used as the theme song for the movie Eien no 0.
