double is the sophomore studio album released by DOUBLE, and the first as a solo project. After the release of their debut studio album Crystal in May 1999 SACHIKO passed away and TAKAKO continued to record as DOUBLE as a solo project. Six months later, the album was released with tracks sung in English.
The album reached #13 on the weekly Oricon chart, and continued to rank for a total of ten weeks. The English version of the record peaked at #30 and went on to rank for four weeks.
