"FIXED STAR" is Kawada Mami's 13th single. The title track was used as theme for movie anime Toaru Majutsu no Index: Endyumion no Kiseki and the premieres in theaters three days after the release of the single. The song was released seven days earlier in Mami's first best album, MAMI KAWADA BEST BIRTH. The song "intersection" was used as theme song the PlayStation®Vita game "Infinity Labyrinth Cross Blood". The single reached #26 on the Oricon weekly charts, and charted for six weeks, selling 6,267 copies.
