Ueno Chiemi (上野 智恵美) born in Brazil in Londrina, Parana. She went to Japan for 12 years with parents who went to work in Japanese factories. There he studied at Japanese schools and also took music lessons. After several presentations, she was hired by businesswoman "Sachiko Kobayashi, signing a professional contract. Using the stage name "Kanako Minami (加奈子南)" (which means something like "child of the South", referring to Brazil). In 2008, Kanako first held a series of concerts in Brazil, as part of the centenary of Japanese immigration to Brazil, the second singer who was one of his dreams, to show in his hometown.

Kanako Minami

Descending Nikkei third generation (sansei), Kanako participated in a test at Columbia Records in May 2002 and debuted as a singer enka in 2003. In the same year received the "45° Record Nihon Taisho Shinjin Shou" and "35° Nihon Taishou Yuusen Shinjin Shou", which are the major awards Japanese music. On January 23, 2008, launched the seventh single CD (Furusato Kikou) and the second album (Kanako in the Nimaime Arubamu), where he sings the classic J-pop and enka as "Sekai ni Hitotsudakeno Hana", "Koi ni Otitis" and "Sakeyo". Kanako is the second singer Nikkei in Japan to make concerts in Brazil, after the consecrated Marcia.

At age 21, turned professional as a singer and adopted the stage name of Kanako Minami: minami means south, comes from Kanau kana, which means "a dream come true", and ko can be translated as "child". That is, Kanako Minami is something like "child who came from the south (of Brazil) to try to realize his dream".

Since the beginning of his career, Kanako has the backing of Kobayashi Sachiko - famous singer in Japan and its current manager. With five-year career, Kanako has recorded seven CDs with 14 songs from the famous Japanese composer Tetsuya Guen, and participated several times in Japanese television programs.

On day 2, the singer Kanako Minami, 24, participated in the recordings of the "sakusaku," broadcast on TV Kanagawa. The music program led by the duo PUFFY is broadcast Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 8:00 and replayed at 00:05. During the recordings, the singer repeatedly praised Brazil and said he would hope the Brazil squad at the World Cup. Kanako was the first enka singer to participate in the program.
