Shimmin's debut was on the M.net (M.net is a music channel comparable to MTV) show, "Super VJ Model Selection Conference" in 2003. Some of her previous appearances have been in the shows, "Matchmaker 'S'" (XTM, 2005), "Weird Girl, Weird Boy" (KBS, 2005), "KBS Sky Sports 'TV Game Club Recreation Room'" (2005), "M.net Wide Entertainment News" (2004).
On July 16th, 2006, there was an official announcement on the Hello! Project site that Shimmin would be an "exchange student" into Hello! Project, and that she would be experiencing Hello! Project, "mainly through Gatas Brilhantes H.P.", and also through voice training, dance lessons and studying the Japanese language. In August, 2006, she participated in Mix Gatas as number 16. Since then, she appears to have gone back to South Korea as her blog disappeared and she hasn't been seen at any Hello! Project events.
