The Debut: Dream Academy is a global K-Pop audition project produced by HYBE and Geffen Records. The music survival show features a group of selected talent from around the world as they audition and train to debut in HYBE's new 6-member global girl group.
The winners formed the group KATSEYE.

Missions
Mission 1: Showcase
The first mission consists of two dance teams and two vocal teams. Contestants are selected to move forward by HYBE judges who also take into account fan voting results. Two contestants are eliminated at the end of the mission: Adela and Hinari.

Mission 2: Teams
The contestants travel to Korea to compete in teams. Winning teams are granted immunity from elimination. Four contestants are eliminated at the end of the mission: Brooklyn, Iliya, Karlee, and Mei.

Mission 3: Artistry
The contestants were tested on their abilities to pull off unique concepts. Three contestants were eliminated at the end of the mission: Ua, Nayoung, and Celeste.

Finale
The remaining contestants performed two songs ("Girls Don't Like" and "Dirty Water") in teams of 5, as well as a group performance of an original song titled "All the Same". Fan voting began early via Weverse from November 10-17th while live voting occurred during the first 30 minutes of the finale. Fan votes, a panel of three HYBE x Geffen executives, and the input of both labels' CEOs were used to decide the winners. Four contestants were eliminated at the end of the finale: Samara, Emily, Ezrela, and Marquise.
