ZIPANG is the debut album released by D=OUT. The title and its eponymously titled track is an obfuscated name for Japan. This was released in two different versions: a limited CD+DVD edition and a regular CD only edition. The limited edition comes in a gold-colored disc case and includes a 32 page booklet and a DVD of the PV for track #4 "Shangri-La". The regular edition comes with one randomly chosen out of a possible six dress-up jacket covers. The album reached #13 on the indies Oricon chart, and #140 on the major chart where it charted for a week.
After D=OUT signed with European label CLJ Records, ZIPANG was released in Europe two months after its initial release. This edition came in the CD+DVD only format. The DVD comes with two live performances along with the PV. The album also includes a booklet containing the lyrics in Romaji and translated in English.
