Biography

Born and raised in Okayama Prefecture, dorlis is an experienced guitarist in addition to singing. She learned to play the guitar at a very young age, and after quitting school to pursue her interest in music, she began performing in the streets at the age of 17. After being spotted by producer Matsubara Ken (who also spotted artists Hirai Ken and BoA, among several), she released her first album under the label SUPALOVE. After her popularity grew, she was signed to Victor Entertainment. In early 2005, she released her first major single mariposa.

dorlis is most of the time represented by an avatar created by illustrator Maeda Yuka; the character appeared in 2005 and can be seen mostly on covers and PVs.
