Brown Eyed Girls
Brown Eyed Girls (브라운 아이드 걸스) is a 4-member Korean pop group under Nega Network. They were originally a five member group but right before debut Yoari was kicked out after she sounded to rock.
They officially debuted in March 2006 with the album Your Story, they had modest sucess with the album. After one mor emodestly successful album, Tteonara Ms. Kim, they released their first mini-album January 2008 With L.O.V.E. Brown Eyed Girls, including their popular hit song "L.O.V.E.". A year later in July 2009 they released their third album Sound-G, the album because a huge success for the girls and the hit song "Abracadabra", and the dance for the song Saucy Hip Move became just as successful.
In August 2010, the group signed with Sony Music Entertainment, and debuted in Japan with their Korean album Sound-G and included a Japanese version of "Abracadabra" and remixes of the other songs. Sadly the album did not chart well and reached #54 on the Oricon charts selling only 4,563 copies.
Brown Eyed Girls started promoting their song "Sixth Sense" hoping it will be as successful as their previous song "Abracadabra". Their wishes came true and the song won on both Inkigayo and Music Bank. They released the album of the same name of the lead track in September 2011. After a break of almost one year, Brown Eyed Girls returned with their seventh digital single "Brown Eyed Girls the Original" in July 2012. The group went back to basics and has a sound that their first two albums had.
They released their eighth digital single "Recipe", which was their first release in almost a year.
Since Brown Eyed Girls' debut, they have released 8 Korean digital singles, 4 Korean mini-albums and 6 Korean albums. They have released 1 Japanese single and 1 Japanese album. The groups fifth album Black Box was released July 29th, 2013.
