Little Glee Monster promoting Journey (2022)

Little Glee Monster

Little Glee Monster is a Japanese pop six-member girl group under Sony Music Records Inc.

In a joint effort between Watanabe Entertainment Co. Ltd. and Sony Music Records, an audition was held in 2013 to find strong vocalists. Six girls were chosen and began their indie activities as Little Glee Monster in May of 2013. The group gathered attention by showcasing their extraordinary vocal talents in collaborations with other artists and TV appearances. They covered songs from notable bands and artists such as BUMP OF CHICKEN, Southern All Stars, and MISIA and even covered the Disney song "Let It Go" from the movie Frozen and "What Time Is It?" from High School Musical 2.

Little Glee Monster released their first self-titled mini-album Little Glee Monster on March 16, 2014 and later made their major debut with the single "Houkago High Five" in October. Their fifth album, Flava, is their most successful album, peaking at #1 on both Oricon and Japan's Billboard charts, and certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan for sales of 100,000. In 2018, they won an award at the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards for Best Japanese Act.

Their sixth studio album, Journey, is released this week on April 20th.
